From 18th to 21st May 2026, sleep medicine professionals and Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) specialists from across Malaysia gathered for the National ORL Sleep Masterclass Workshop 2026, held at the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and the Sleep Lab of Hospital Putrajaya. Organised by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Hospital Putrajaya and Hospital Sultan Idris Shah Serdang, the workshop brought together ENT specialists from various hospitals, institutions, and clinical backgrounds for an intensive and collaborative learning experience focused on sleep medicine and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Pneumedic Marketing was truly honoured to be part of this meaningful event and to engage with healthcare professionals who share the same passion for improving sleep health and patient care in Malaysia. Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to a wide range of topics surrounding the diagnosis and management of sleep-disordered breathing. The sessions covered important clinical and practical areas, including OSA in daily clinical practice, diagnostic approaches and modalities, Drug-Induced Sleep Endoscopy (DISE), contemporary surgical management of OSA, PAP therapy, orthodontic management, as well as evaluation and management strategies for paediatric OSA and sleep-disordered breathing. In addition to the lectures and symposiums, participants also attended practical workshops involving DISE, CPAP therapy, and polysomnography (PSG), allowing for valuable hands-on exposure and interactive learning.

For the first two days, our team was present at the exhibition booth where we showcased our sleep diagnostic and PAP therapy solutions, while also introducing our Home Sleep Test (HST) and PAP therapy support services. More importantly, the event provided a valuable platform for meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange with specialists regarding current challenges, patient management approaches, and evolving technologies within sleep medicine.

One of the most memorable moments for our team took place during the third day’s hands-on sessions conducted at the sleep lab. Vendors were assigned to smaller groups alongside facilitators and participants, creating a highly engaging and collaborative learning environment. Together with the experienced facilitators and dedicated staff of the Putrajaya Sleep Lab, our Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Mr. Thanapalan, had the opportunity to demonstrate Type 1 PSG hook-up procedures and manual PAP titration techniques while sharing practical insights and clinical experiences with the participating specialists. The sessions provided participants with greater exposure to sleep study preparation, patient monitoring, signal interpretation, and PAP optimisation strategies within an actual sleep lab setting.

Later that afternoon, the same group also participated in demonstrations involving Type 3 sleep studies and PAP therapy applications. Various PAP therapy devices and modes were introduced alongside discussions surrounding PAP NAP and Tele-PAP services, highlighting approaches that may help improve patient adaptation, therapy compliance, and long-term treatment success.

At Pneumedic Marketing, we believe that advancing sleep healthcare goes beyond simply providing products and services. Educational events such as this play an important role in strengthening collaboration between healthcare professionals, sleep technologists, and industry partners while encouraging continuous learning and knowledge sharing in this rapidly evolving field. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organising committees of Hospital Putrajaya and Hospital Sultan Idris Shah Serdang for the opportunity to be part of this remarkable workshop, as well as to all participating doctors, facilitators, and healthcare professionals for the engaging discussions and collaborative spirit throughout the programme.
As we continue supporting the growth of sleep medicine in Malaysia, Pneumedic Marketing remains committed to providing reliable sleep diagnostic solutions, PAP therapy services, education, and professional support to healthcare providers and patients alike.
Healthcare institutions and organisations interested in sleep medicine education, PAP therapy awareness, or CME/CPD sharing sessions are always welcome to connect with our team. We would be delighted to collaborate and contribute through educational talks, workshops, and practical sharing sessions related to sleep diagnostics and therapy management.
