Pneumedic Marketing was truly honoured to be part of the World Obesity and Sleep Day (WSOD) 2026 - Fun Pyjama Walk, held on 14th February 2026 at Padang Semarak, Wetlands Putrajaya. This meaningful community-based event was jointly organised by Hospital Putrajaya, Malaysian Obesity Society, Ministry of Health and Malaysian Endocrine & Metabolic Society, reflecting a strong collaborative effort to address major public health concerns.

World Obesity and Sleep Day serves as an important platform to highlight the close and often under-recognised relationship between obesity, sleep disorders, and overall metabolic health. Events such as this play a vital role in educating the public while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices through active participation and community engagement.

In line with the spirit of the event, the Pneumedic team actively participated in the Fun Pyjama Walk while also hosting an exhibition booth. This dual involvement allowed us to engage meaningfully with both the general public and healthcare professionals who attended the event. Our team had the opportunity to share knowledge, answer questions, and raise awareness on sleep-disordered breathing, particularly sleep apnea, and its strong association with obesity and chronic health conditions. Many participants expressed interest in understanding how sleep quality impacts daily functioning, cardiovascular health and long-term well-being.

At our booth, we showcased our DreamStation Auto CPAP, designed to support effective and comfortable treatment for sleep apnea patients. To complement this, we also presented a range of mask interfaces, catering to different patient comfort needs and preferences. In addition, visitors were introduced to essential CPAP cleaning accessories that help maintain device hygiene and therapy effectiveness, as well as a travel battery, highlighting the importance of uninterrupted therapy even while travelling. These solutions reflect Pneumedic's focus on not just therapy provision, but also long-term patient compliance, comfort, and lifestyle integration.

The event was further honoured by the presence of the State Health Director, JKWPKL&P, underscoring the importance of sleep and obesity management within the broader public health agenda. Such leadership support reinforces the need for continuous education, early screening, and multidisciplinary collaboration in addressing sleep-related and metabolic disorders.

At Pneumedic Marketing, we remain deeply committed to advancing sleep health awareness and respiratory care through education, innovation, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Participation in community initiatives such as WSOD 2026 allows us to extend our role beyond medical devices by empowering individuals with knowledge and encouraging proactive health-seeking behaviour. We are proud to support initiatives that bridge the gap between clinical care and public awareness, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in future programmes that promote better sleep, better health, and improved quality of life for the community.
