From 19th to 23rd May 2025, Pneumedic Marketing proudly returned to Hospital Putrajaya for the 2nd Sleep Lab Workshop, themed “From Wires to Waves: Polysomnography Demystified.” The Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery hosted this multi-day event to bring together healthcare professionals from various hospitals across Malaysia, including specialists in ENT, respiratory medicine, neurology, and internal medicine.
Over five days, attendees dived deep into the key components of sleep medicine — from polysomnography scoring and Type 1 and Type 3 sleep studies, to PAP therapy management, MSLT, MWT, and tele-PAP care. The workshop was designed to bridge theoretical knowledge and clinical application, offering participants better clarity in managing patients with sleep disorders.
As a long-standing partner of Sleep Lab Hospital Putrajaya, Pneumedic Marketing was honored to once again participate as a vendor. Our team set up a detailed exhibition booth featuring a variety of advanced sleep and respiratory care solutions. These included the Philips DreamStation Auto CPAP, the BiPAP AVAPS, and the DreamStation Go portable CPAP, tailored for patients who travel frequently.

Visitors also explored our full range of mask interfaces — full face, nasal, and nasal pillow — designed to cater to varying patient comfort and therapy needs. A major highlight at the booth was our new travel battery for PAP machines, offering convenience and portability for patients on the go. We also showcased our comprehensive CPAP cleaning accessories such as CPAP soap, disinfectant wipes, and hose brushes, all of which received encouraging interest from healthcare providers keen to reinforce hygiene in PAP therapy.

We also took the opportunity to introduce our Level 3 home sleep test device, Apnealink, and shared how it plays a role in expanding access to sleep diagnostics — especially for patients who may face barriers in attending in-lab studies.

On Day 3, our Director, Mr. Thanapalan, RPSGT, delivered a focused session on BiPAP therapy to the workshop attendees. While this session was not hands-on, it served as an important educational platform to explain the differences between BiPAP and other PAP modes, the clinical scenarios in which BiPAP is indicated, and how understanding its various modes and settings can improve therapy outcomes. The session sparked productive discussions among participants, further underlining the importance of matching the right therapy to the right patient.

We are sincerely grateful to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, Hospital Putrajaya for once again inviting us to be part of this meaningful initiative. It has been an honor to support their team in building a stronger, more collaborative network of sleep care providers. At Pneumedic, we remain committed to a long-term partnership with Hospital Putrajaya and its Sleep Lab team. Together, we aim to continue advancing sleep health and supporting patients with innovative, effective respiratory solutions.
